Soak the filter in water for 5 minutes before inserting it into the coffee machine. What does the Wessper AquaLunga coffee filter contain? Activated carbon - removes pesticides, herbicides, chlorine and detergents through a process of absorption and catalytic reduction. Noticeably improves the smell and taste of the water. Ion exchange resin - removes excess magnesium and calcium ions, eliminating water hardness. What benefit do you get from the filters? The filter reduces the concentration of pollutants and sediments. However, it does not remove them completely and makes the water medium hard, i.e. best suited for coffee preparation.
